KHATTA DHOKLA -STEAMED RICE AND LENTIL CAKE

Ingredients used in KHATTA DHOKLA -STEAMED RICE AND LENTIL CAKE
• Idli rava- semolina - 1 cup.
• Urad dal - 1/4 cup.
• Yogurt - 1 tablespoon.
• Cooking soda - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Green chili paste - 1 tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Asafoetida - 2 pinch.
• Oil - 3 tablespoons.
• Citric acid - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Pepper (crushed) - 1 tea spoon.
• Ghee - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • In a bowl add idli rava, urad dal to soak it overnight.
  • Then strain the water and blend into a smooth paste in the blender.
  • Then add yogurt, cooking soda(optional) and mix it thoroughly to keep it aside for 6 hours for fermentation.
  • Now add green chili paste, asafoetida, salt, oil and mix it thoroughly.
  • Then add citric acid, little water, cooking soda and mix it well.
  • Then take a plate as shown in the video and apply ghee then add 2 ladles of batter and spread as a thin layer then sprinkle pepper crush, now steam it until dhokla is done.
  • Now apply oil on dhokla and cut it into the diamond shape.
  • Now serve khatta dhokla on a plate.

Dear Vahchef, I can't keep my mouth shut,(joke) Normally turtle's lay about 110 eggs but they are all new eggs. Our vahchef is also like a turtle, he keeps quite for a long time and then upload loads of videos at once like boom bam boom bam,
