Ingredients used in Kadai Biryani
• Green cardamom/elaichi - 2 piece.
• Cloves - 4 piece.
• Cinnamon - 1 piece.
• Ajino motto or maggi magic cubes(vegetarian masala) - 1 tablespoons.
• Garam masala - 1 tablespoons.
• Yogurt - 2 tablespoons.
• Tomato (cut cube shaped or square) - 1 large.
• Capsicum/green pepper(cut cube shaped or square) - 1 large.
• Onion(cut cube shaped or square) - 1 large.
• Basmati rice - 2 cup.
• Saffron (optional) - 4 springs.
• Cashew nuts - 5 small.
• Coriander leaves(for garnish) - 1 springs.
• Red chilli - 2 numbers.
• Salt - 2 to taste.
• Orange/red food color - 1/2 tablespoons.
• Oil - 4 tablespoons.
Method:
Boil 2 cups Basmati Rice with 3 cups water, with all the whole Cinnamon,clove,cardamom,liitle saffron and salt to taste. Once the rice is done add the orange or red food color and let the rice cool. In a big Kadai put the oil,fry the onions till the color changes. Then fry the tomato and then add the capsicum/green pepper.Fry all this till you get nice aroma of the vegetables and till the oil separates.Add the yogurt and fry for 2 min.Now add the boiled rice and mix all the ingridients well.Add garam masala,ajji no motto and salt to taste and mix well. Now add cashew nuts and red chilly and mix well. Cover with lid and cook for 2 min.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.

I tried this recipe and just yummy yum..thanks a lot for posting such a great recipe..just reminded of the biryani in shanti sagar..
