This snack is a tasty vegetarian alternative for all those who love eating kababs.

The Hara bhara kabab gets its name and wonderful green colour from the healthy and nutritious spinach and green peas. Hence the name of the dish is Hara Bhara Kabab, a luscious, mouth-melting kabab made with the goodness of greens. Nowadays, kids are very choosing on eating especially green leafy vegetables.

They normally hate eating green veggies and we parents force them on eating as they are nutritious and healthy. Normally we add them into dals (lentil stew), or make a spinach curry etc. To really feed your kids healthy and nutritious green leafy vegetables, firstly we must look for creative ways of preparing different snack item with the greens so that they get tempted in eating such foods like making a quiche with spinach stuffing or a palak wrap or Frankie, or add them in colorful fresh and zesty salads etc.

Also remind or show them the stories of ‘Popeye’ the popular cartoon movie with the spinach can and the spinach power. These Kababs are made with the mix of blanched spinach, boiled peas and potatoes mashed together with spicy green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves and flavored with chaat masala and salt to taste. This mixture is then added with little cornflour so that the whole mixture gets binded well to hold into a tikka or ball shape.
