Ingredients used in Mutton Achari
• Tomato (chopped) - 4 numbers.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Cloves - 5 numbers.
• Garlic - 1 tablespoon.
• Onion (chopped) - 4 numbers.
• Fennel seed - 1 tea spoon.
• Onion seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Red chillies - 8 numbers.
• Mutton - 800 grams.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Mustard oil - 7 tablespoons.
• Ginger chopped - 2 tablespoons.
• Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Red chilli powder - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Wash and cut the mutton into 11/2 cubes.
  • Roast the whole spices separately and grind everything coarsely.
  • In a pan add oil, onionssaute it well.
  • Now add ginger, garlic,ground masala powder and stir fry for half a minute.
  • Add mutton, stir fry on high flame heat up till mutton pieces are well browned.
  • Add tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt and mix well.
  • Add sufficient quantity of water (about 21/2 cups), bring it to a boil and cover.
  • Serve it.

Hi sanjay, We love your recipies but i believe noone cooks MUTTON ACHARI on dhussera so this is not appropriate in the Dhusserah section and sort of misleads people Deepak
