Cocktail Samosa
Cocktail Samosa is one of the most popular snacks throughout India. It is generally triangular shaped, made small in size, crispy and stuffed with onion and puffed rice. Most of the people love to eat onion samosa with a piping hot cup of tea. This cocktail samosa is extremely delicious, air fried and is a guilt free snack that you can eat to delight your palate.
Most Indians love eating fried foods especially samosa is a universal delight to all. It can also be said that samosa is the most wanted or the king of all the fried foods. It is one of the most popular snacks in the South Asian countries for centuries now. It is also a favourite fried snack that is lovely to eat on a cold day or rainy day. Generally people love to nibble on this than eating something else.
There are various ways of making the samosas with different stuffings of your choice. The stuffing includes the potatoes, onions, peas, coriander etc and is served with either tamarind sweet chutney or curd. This snack recipe is an amazing fried snack, air fried, crispy and yummy to eat. The cooking method is the key for eating this healthy and delicious fried snack. It’s a guilt free, less fat and nutritious snack which makes a super healthy fried snack. How to prepare healthy, nutritious and appetizing Cocktail Samosa:
Ingredients:
All-purpose flour - 1 cup
Salt to taste
Ajwain – ¼ tsp
Butter - 1 tsp
For stuffing:
Onion, chopped – 1 no
Salt – to taste
Chilli powder – ½ tsp
Coriander, chopped – 1 no
Chaat masala – ¼ tsp
Poha (pressed rice) – ½ cup
Paneer, grated – ¼ cup
Directions:
In the food processor using the option of dough mixer blade, add in the all-purpose flour, little salt, ajwain and butter and mix to make a short crust kind of dough. Add little water and make into stiff dough. For the stuffing, in a bowl, add some chopped onions, salt, chilli powder, coriander, chaat masala, poha, and grated paneer. Mix all the ingredients well. Make lemon size balls out of the flour dough.
Roll them into flat round small chapattis. Cut each chapatti into half. Fold each piece to make cones. Fill in the stuffing mixture and seal the edges using little water. Preheat the air fryer at 180 degree C for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, pull out the basket and arrange the samosa in the basket and cook for 170 degree C for 4 minutes. Pull out the basket and brush the samosa with little oil and cook for about 6-7 minutes at 160 degree C.
Remove and serve hot with any sauce of your choice.
