HOMEMADE CHICKEN HALEEM

Ingredients used in HOMEMADE CHICKEN HALEEM
• Mixed dal(toor dal, chana dal, urad dal, red gram, moong dal) - 25 grams.
• Whole wheat - 75 grams.
• Chicken - 400 grams.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Bay leaf - 1 number.
• Big cardamom - 1 number.
• Cinnamon - 2 sticks.
• Star anise - 1 number.
• Green cardamom - 2 numbers.
• Tailed pepper - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Cumin powder - 1/2 tablespoon.
• Saffron - 1 pinch.
• Milk - 1 cup.
• Fried onions - 1 cup.
• Ghee - 1/2 cup.
• Garam masala - 1 tablespoon.
Method:
  • Soak all dals along with wheat overnight and strain water and keep aside.
  • Heat pan and add all soaked dals along with wheat, chicken, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt, water and mix it, later place lid, cook for 30 minutes on very slow flame for 7-8 whistle.
  • Remove bone and mash it with a masher.
  • Add bay leaf, big cardamom, cinnamon stick, star anise, green cardamom, bell pepper, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, saffron mixed in milk, milk, little water, fried onions and mix it, later cook it for 15 minutes.
  • To it add ghee and cook it.
  • Transfer into serving plate and garnish with ghee, coriander leaves, mint leaves, lime slice.

Now homemade chicken haleem is ready to serve.
