Ingredients used in Fish with mild coconut curry sauce
• King fish steak - 250 grams.
• Grated coconut - 1/2 cup.
• Coconut milk - 1 cup.
• Garlic - 1 tea spoon.
• Green chili - 1 tablespoon.
• Onion - 1 cup.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon.
• Chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Spring onion - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves - 1 tea spoon.
• Oil - 3 teaspoons.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
  • Marinate fish with cumin powder, chilli powder,salt,lemon juice,turmeric powder, coriander powder, little oil and keep it aside for some time.
  • Then place the fish on non stick tawa or grilll till it cooked. Cook it on low flame.

SAUCE:

  • Heat oil, add chopped onion, salt and saute it for 1 minute.
  • Now add chopped garlic, green chilli saute for sometime. Then add pinch of turmeric powder, cumin powder, grated coconut, coconut milk and bring it to boil.
  • Then add crushed pepper, mix and switch off the flame.
  • Add chopped sprng onion and coriander leaves.
  • Take the grilled fish in to the plate and pour the coconut sauce on top.

Serve hot with rice or roti.
