Ingredients used in Fish curry no fish smell
• Onion - 1 cup.
• Coconut paste - 1 cup.
• Chilli powder - 2 tablespoons.
• Coriander powder - 3 tablespoons.
• Fenugreek powder - 1/4 tablespoons.
• Tamaring - lemon size numbers.
• Curry leaves and coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons.
• Fish - 1 lbs.
Method:
Take the tamaring and make a gravy around 2 cups of water. Add salt to this gravy. take the fish and make sure you cut the fish in the middle, like half in the middle and then (like fish fillet) make small slices. note: you can use the fish fillet also. Now marinate the fish in the tamaring water for about 30 mins. Take a vessel and use a strainer on top of it which can fit excatly of you can use a steamer if you have. Put the water in the around 3 to 4 cups and bring to boil. once it starts boiling put the striner and put the fish from the tamaring water in the strainer and close it with lid. Cook the fish in steam for 20 to 25 mins.keep the tamaring water aside. take a separate kadai/vessel. Put oil around 2/3 tbsps adn then add the onion. in the oil add the fenugreek powder first and fry litle bit. Now add coconut paste, chille powder and cooriander powder and little jeera powder. Fry all this still it is golder brown and then add the tamarind water to this. Bring this to boil for about 20 mins (by this time your fish will be ready simultaneously). Swish off the gravy#39;s heat and slowly one bye add the cooked fish to the curry and let it cool. Or you can keep the kadai#39;s botton in cold water after adding the fish, which will help for fish to take the gravy quickly and easily. Eat this with rice. one thing i observed is this is good to some one who don#39;t like fish smell but the fish.
