Fat Free Aloo Gobi Matar - Be Fit Be Cool AAPI

Ingredients used in Fat Free Aloo Gobi Matar - Be Fit Be Cool AAPI
• Mustard seeds - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Onion (chopped) - ½ cup.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Ginger garlic paste - ½ tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Tomatoes (chopped) - 1 cup.
• Cauliflower - 1 cup.
• Green peas - ½ cup.
• Potatoes (boiled) - 1 cup.
• Garam masala - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Kasuri methi - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves - ½ bunch.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
  • In a hot pan, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds when they splutter add chopped onions and by adding salt cook till they appear slightly golden in color.
  • Add turmeric powder and cook for a minute and then add ginger garlic paste cook till the raw flavor is gone.
  • Now add water, coriander powder, chili powder, chopped tomatoes then put the lid on and cook for few minutes.
  • Add cauliflower pieces, green peas, and boiled potatoes. By adding enough of water, cook for 6-7 minutes by closing the lid.
  • Finally add garam masala, Kasuri methi, and chopped coriander and serve hot.

Absolutely love all your videos! Just made the chicken do pyaaz last night and it turned out delicious. One suggestion, maybe try and re-name these videos as "Healthier version of: Aloo Gobi Matar" instead of fat free.  Big kudos for making

Looks great, I'm making this tomorrow.  I agree that fat free is not the best title for this series, I would recommend calling it oil free, not fat free.  This dish is very low fat, probably 8-10% by calories.  Drs. Ornish, Essylstyn, McDougal, C

This is great! The reason why I stayed away from indian food is due to the amount of oil used for tempering spices. Now I've found a great alternative thanks to you chef! (:?
