Ingredients used in Egg Chop
• Egg - 5 numbers.
• Potato - 100 grams.
• Onion - 1/2 cup.
• All-purpose flour (maida) - 3 tablespoons.
• Green chilies - 4 numbers.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Mint leaves - 1/2 bunch.
• Coriander powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cumin powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Garam masala - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Bread crumbs - 2 tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Oil - as required.
Method:
  • Heatlittle oil in a pan, add chopped onions, salt and saute it.
  • Then add chopped green chilies, turmeric powder, chopped mint, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala cook this till onions are slightly cooked and soft.
  • Transfer this into a bowl and add grated boiled potatoes, chopped boiled eggs, bread crumbs mix it well.
  • Make round balls of mixture and flatten them to make large chops and keep aside.
  • In a plate, mix maida, chili powder and salt.
  • Beat an egg in a bowl.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Coat the chops with the flour and then dip it in the well beaten egg white.
  • Dip coated chop in the hot oil and shallow fry it. Top the chop with rest of the beaten egg and chopped coriander to form a lacy edge on the chop.
  • Fry it till it get pleasant golden color.

Serve it hot in a grilled bun topped up with tomato ketchup and salad veggies.

I agree with the rest, Chef! Love the studio, but please, lose the music and the makeup! Your personality is our favorite part, letting us see you enjoy your cooking and tasting your food. This new setup feels very scripted and not as fun. :( ?
