Ingredients used in Cucumber Mutton Curry
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Coconut powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Chilly powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Green chilly paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Mutton - 500 grams.
• Cucumber (dosakaya) - 1 number.
• Garam masala - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Onion (chopped) - 2 numbers.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Poppy seed paste - 1 tablespoon.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, chopped onions, salt, cook it till onions are brown in color, add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, cook this till raw flavor is gone.
  • Add coconut powder, chilly powder, green chilly paste, cucumber, add mutton stock (which you boil the mutton), poppy seed paste, put the lid on let it cook till cucumber is tender.
  • Add mutton (cooked in a pressure cooker) cook it in a slow flame for 5 minutes.
  • Add garam masala powder, chopped coriander leaves, then switch off the flame.

Serve this with rice or chapatti.
