Ingredients used in Chicken and Rice
• Chicken - 1.5 kg.
• Rice - 1 cup.
• Cabbage - 3 cups.
• Tomato - 500 grams.
• Ham - 150 grams.
• Green beans - 250 grams.
• Red chili powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Water - as required.
• Cinnamon powder - half tea spoon.
Method:
  • Heat chicken, chopped tomatoes, water, salt and pepper to boiling in Dutch oven; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
  • Remove chicken and add in rice, ham, cinnamon powder and red chili powder.
  • Now add chicken, chopped cabbage, green beans and onions. Let it boil and reduce heat.
  • Cover and simmer until thickest pieces of chicken are done, approx 20 to 30 minutes.

Serve hot.
