Ingredients used in CHEESE STRAWS
• All purpose flour - 250 grams.
• Salt - 5 grams.
• Sugar - 10 grams.
• Lime juice - 1 number.
• Water - 130 ml.
• Cheese - 100 grams.
• Chilli powder - ½ tea spoon.
• Milk - as required.
Method:
  • In a bowl add all purpose flour, salt, sugar, lime juice and water, make it into a stiff dough, add 15 g of butter and knead it well, then let it rest for 15 minutes.
  • Roll the dough ½ inch in thickness, apply the butter up to ¾ th of the sheet and sprinkle the dry flour, and fold like an envelope.
  • Take the sheet and place it in the tray, cover it with a wet cloth and put it in a fridge for 20 minutes.
  • Repeat the same process for another 2 times Now take out the tray and apply the butter on the sheet and fold like a book.
  • And take the sheet and place it in the tray cover it with a wet cloth and put it in the fridge.
  • Cut the required piece and roll into a thin sheet by using dry flour and apply milk on the sheet.
  • On top of the sheet grate the cheese, sprinkle some chili powder.
  • Cut the sheet into strips and twist the strips to look like a straw.
  • place the straws in a tray and apply the milk. Pre heats the oven at 220-degree centigrade.
  • Place the tray in the oven bake it for 20 minutes.
