Ingredients used in Chana Jor Garam Indian Garbanzo Street Snack
• Green chilly - 3 numbers.
• Coriander chopped - 1 bunch.
• Tomato - 1 number.
• Onions chopped - 1 number.
• Garam masala - 1 pinch.
• Indian garbanzo (kala chana) - 150 grams.
• Black salt (or) chat masala - 1 tea spoon.
• Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon.
• Oil - to fry.
Method:
  • Take Indian garbanzo (Kala Chana) soak it overnight and cook till the chana is soft.
  • Take rolling pin and press it and dry it in sun or in the oven.
  • Heat oil in a pan add garbanzo and cook it on a medium flame, still stirring, transfer into a plate.
  • Add onions, tomatoes, chopped coriander, chopped green chilly, chat masala or black salt, garam masala, lemon juice and toss it and fill the paper cone with chaat and eat it.

As half of the taste comes from the skin of dal, you can't get away with split chana dal. If you use split chana dal in this recipe, you will make a total different snack, which by the way is also a street food.
