Ingredients used in Bottle Gourd Curry With Sesame Seeds
• Coriander powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Water - as required.
• Coconut powder (optional) - 1 tea spoon.
• Oil - as required.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Turmeric powder - pinch.
• Green chillies (chopped) - 4 number.
• Onion (chopped) - 1 number.
• Urad dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Sesame seeds - 2 tablespoons.
• Bottle gourd (cut into small pieces) - 1 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
Dry roast sesame seed till golden brown in color then add coconut powder(optional) and grind into a coarse powder. Take a pan heat oil, add urad dal, saute it. Then add onions chopped, salt and saute it then add turmeric, ginger garlic paste, green chilies, curry leaves saute it. In the same pan, add small pieces of bottle gourd, salt and mix well add some water and close it with a lid. Cook the bottle gourd till it is 80% done then add the sesame seeds powder, coriander powder saute it again and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
