Ingredients used in Boondi
• Water - as required.
• Red chilli powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - as required.
• Fried peanuts - 1/2 cup.
• Fried curryleaves - 1 bunch.
• Besan flour - 1 cup.
Method:
  • Mix the besan, add little water to achieve the dropping consistency. Pour drops of this mixture into hot oil with a slotted spoon.
  • Deep fry till the drops become golden brown.
  • Drain to remove excess oil after removing boondi from oil.
  • Fry peanuts, curry leaves and sprinkle red chili powder and salt (as per your taste) after adding these mix this to boondi and mix well.

Try using a fine mesh colander...or ask for a gnocci masher...in India they use a similar version for making puranpoli filling...works for me.
