BITTER GOURD KARAM

Ingredients used in BITTER GOURD KARAM
• Urad dal - 1 tablespoon.
• Chana dal - 1 tablespoon.
• Dry red chilies - 5 numbers.
• Garlic - 5-6 numbers.
• Coriander seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Tamarind - 4-5 grams.
• Bitter gourd - 3-4 numbers.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - 4-5 teaspoons.
Method:
  • Take a pan, add urad dal, chana dal, dry red chilies, garlic, coriander seeds, tamarind and dry roast it.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add bitter gourd round slices and shallow fry until brown color and transfer into a plate.
  • Take a mixie jar and add dry roasted ingredients, salt and blend it once.
  • To it add fried bitter gourd and blend into powder.

Now bitter gourd karam is ready to serve with rice.

Today I made this......it's awesome. I experimented a bit by adding a 1/4th tsp of roasted flax seeds. It added an excellent tinge to the whole. I enjoyed making it and Ofcourse eating as well. Thank you Mrs Vahchef.?
