Ingredients used in Baked Custard
• Ground nutmeg - to taste.
• Sugar - 2 tablespoons.
• Eggs - 3 numbers.
• Milk - 568 ml.
Method:
  • Warm the milk in a saucepan but don't boil it.
  • Whisk the eggs and sugar lightly in a basin.
  • Pour on the hot milk to it, stirring all the time.
  • Strain the mixture into a greased ovenproof dish, sprinkle the nutmeg on top and bake in the oven at 170-degree Centigrade (325 degrees Fahrenheit) mark 3 for about 45 minutes, or until set and firm to the touch.
