Ingredients used in BADAMI CHICKEN
• Bay leaf - 1 number.
• Black cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cardamon - 1 number.
• Cinnamon - 1 stick.
• Phool spice - 3-4 grams.
• Onion(chopped) - 1-1/2 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon.
• Badam - 1/2 cup.
• Red chili powder - 2 tablespoons.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Yogurt - 1/2 cup.
• Chicken - 800-1000 grams.
• Fresh cream - 1/2 cup.
• Ginger julians - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1/2 bunch.
• Green chillies - 4 numbers.
• Garam masala - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Oil - 4 tablespoons.
Method:
Take a blender and add badam, little water blend it into smooth badami paste. Heat oil in a pan and add bay leaf, black cumin seeds, cardamon, cinnamon stick, phool, onion, salt, ginger garlic paste and saute it. Add badami paste, red chili powder, coriander powder and mix nicely later cook it. To it add yogurt, marinated chicken and mix it, place lid and cook it for 15 minutes on slow flame. Remove lid and add slit green chillies, garam masala mix once, place lid and cook for another 15 minutes. Add fresh cream, ginger julians, coriander leaves and mix it. Now badami chicken is ready to serve.

Looks excellent. But Phool, is that the same as calpasi? If yes, is there any whole spice that can be substituted with this?. I tried to even look in some sri lankan/south indian shops here but have not been able to find it.?
