Ingredients used in Baby Corn Manchuria
• All purpose flour - 2 teaspoons.
• Corn flour - 2 teaspoons.
• Baby corn (pieces) - 1 cup.
• Green chili paste - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Water - as required.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - to fry.
• Garlic (chopped) - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Ginger (chopped) - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Spring onion (finely chopped) - 1 number.
• Red bell pepper - 1/2 number.
• Green bell pepper - 1/2 number.
• Yellow bell pepper - 1/2 number.
• Radish - 1/2 number.
• Carrot - 1 number.
• Red chili paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Vinegar - 1 tea spoon.
• Soya sauce - 1 tea spoon.
• Sugar - pinch.
• Tomato ketchup - (1-2) tea spoon.
Method:
  • In a bowl, add all purpose flour, corn flour, salt, green chilly paste, water and mix nicely to make bajji batter consistency.
  • Add baby corn pieces and mix nicely later keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add garlic, ginger, whites of spring onion, little salt, green chili paste and saute it.
  • Add red bell pepper, green bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, radish, carrots cut into diamonds, add to above pan and saute it.
  • To it add red chili paste, vinegar, soya sauce, sugar, tomato ketchup and mix nicely until it is cooked with little water and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add coated baby corn and deep fry, later transfer to a plate.
  • Heat mixed veg saucepan again with little water and add baby corn and toss it.
  • Add chopped green of spring onion and saute it nicely, transfer into serving bowl.

Now Baby Corn Manchurian is ready to serve.

But when Indians went to Chinese restaurants in India, they were looking for spicy Chinese food. What emerged was a cuisine that merged Indian spices, which suited the local tastes, with classic Chinese recipes and cooking techniques. In addition, dishes evolved that suited the large Indian vegetarian population. And so Indian-Chinese food -- Indian spices and seasonings overlaid with Chinese techniques -- was added to the other culinary traditions.

 Some popular dishes include dumplings in a hot, sweet, and sour sauce; Chinese fried rice, a spicier and more Indian-like version of the classic dish; chili cauliflower, marinated in hot peppers and garlic and deep-fried; and Hakka noodles. The vegan variety is still rich in flavor, but light.

 The Indo-Chinese fusion is one craze that exists to date where Indians enjoy an encore of dishes. Among such recipes, Vegetable Manchurian is one such gem. Vegetable balls deep fried and served in gravy accompanied by fried rice or noodles.
