Ingredients used in Andhra Chepala Pulusu
• Red chilli powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - half tea spoon.
• Ginger and garlic paste - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 3 spring.
• Green chillies - 6 numbers.
• Onion - - 1 large.
• Salt - to taste.
• Chili powder - 3 teaspoons.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Fish - 1 kg.
• Masala powder - 3 teaspoons.
• Tamarind pulp - half cup.
• Coriander leaves - 1 bunch.
• Oil - as required.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a non-stick Kadhai, add green chillies and curry leaves and fry well, keep few for garnishing .
  • To the above add onion paste and fry for 5minutes. on medium heat.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric, red chilli powder and masala powder and fry for few minutes. Mix well.
  • Layer the fish pieces on top, close the lid and cook for few minutes, turn over carefully, rotate the dish and cook for few more minutes. by closing lid.
  • Add water until fish pieces are immersed, keep the heat on high, when it is started boiling, simmer and cover for 10minutes.
  • Add Tamarind water, close the lid and cook until oil floats on top and the raw smell of tamarind disappears, do not mix the curry with the spatula instead carefully hold both the handle of the dish and rotate.
  • Add coriander leaves and check for salt, cook it for 5more minutesand serve.

While serving, garnish with curryleaves and green chillies which is been fried earlier.

In the receipe it said to marinate fish with Masala power (see tips) and there was no masala powder in the tips? When uploading some receipe pls give clear methods.
