Ingredients used in ALOO GOBI KORMA
• Almonds - 5 numbers.
• Melon seeds - 1 tablespoon.
• Poppy seeds - 1 tablespoon.
• Cashew nuts - 8 numbers.
• Fried onions - 1 cup.
• Cinnamon stick - 1 number.
• Cloves - 4 numbers.
• Bay leaf - 1 number.
• Cardamom - 2 numbers.
• Cumin seeds - ½ tea spoon.
• Boiled potato pieces - 1 cup.
• Boiled cauliflower pieces - 1 cup.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin powder - ½ tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Red chilly powder - ½ tea spoon.
• Tomato pieces - 1 number.
• Garam masala - ½ tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
• Yogurt - 2-3 tablespoons.
• Oil - to fry.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Green chillies - 3 numbers.
• Tomato puree - 2 tablespoons.
Method:
  • Boil water in a pan and add almonds, melon seeds, poppy seeds, cashew nut and keep the lid on it and boil it for 15 minutes and transfer it to a blender.
  • To this add fried onions and blend it into a smooth paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add cinnamon stick, cloves, bay leaf, cardamom, cumin seeds and saute it.
  • Then add ginger garlic paste, tomato puree and cook it.
  • Then add nuts paste, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chilly powder and cook it.
  • Even before it comes to boil add yogurt and cook it.
  • Heat oil in a pan then fries the boiled potato and cauliflower pieces until they are cooked and take them into a paper towel.
  • Then fry the green chilies and take them into a paper towel.
  • Add the fried vegetables to the boiling gravy and tomato pieces, garam masala, coriander leaves and mix thoroughly.
  • Put the lid on and cook it on a slow flame for 1 minute.

Now the aloo gobi korma is ready to serve with roti or rice.
