Ingredients used in Vatanyachi Usal
• Frozen peas pack - 1 number.
• Asafoetida - 1 pinch.
• Mustard seeds - half tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves - 4 springs.
• Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon.
• Cumin seeds - half tea spoon.
• Green chili - 2 numbers.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - 1 tablespoon.
• Water - as required.
• Turmeric powder - half tea spoon.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, haldi and chilies. Fry till the chilies change color.
  • Add the peas, mix well and cook.
  • When the pean are done, add salt, lemon juice. Remove from heat and add chopped coriander leaves and the shredded coconut.

Serve hot with hot roti.
