Ingredients used in Mushroom Mutter Makhani
• Ginger-garlic paste - 2 teaspoons.
• Tomato - 1 1/2 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Fenungreek leaves - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Sugar - 1 tea spoon.
• Garam masala powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Cream - 2 tablespoons.
• Turmeric - pinch.
• Chilly powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Onion - 1 cup.
• Green peas - 1 cup.
• Small sliced white mushrooms - 2 cup.
• Cashews - 1 tablespoons.
• Chopped coriander - 1 tea spoon.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • First, add 1 cup of onion in a blender to make onion paste.

For tomato paste:

  • Grind tomatoes, 1/2 cup onion paste, ginger garlic paste, and cashews in a blender to prepare a paste.

Preparation of Curry:

  • Pour oil in pan, heat cumin seeds, chili powder, turmericpowder, garam masala, coriander powder,fenugreek leaves and salt.
  • Add remaining 1/2 cup onions (now paste), brown them then add green peas and mushrooms, cook for a few minutes until mushrooms slightly soft.
  • In the same pan, add prepared tomato paste and sugar, simmer for 15 minutes. Turn off the heatpour some fresh cream to enhance its flavor.
  • Again on the flame, cook on simmer flame for 2 more minutes, sprinkle with chopped coriander leaves, serve it hot.

I have been using this recipe for years, since 2008! Thanks for sharing this recipe. The only thing I do differently is I cook all the onion paste first (I don't like the taste of raw onions), and then cook the tomatoes. Everyone who eats this - gue

i TRIED THIS RECIPE AND IT IS TRUELY AmaZING! COULD YOU PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO I think many people will love this there is not many mushroom dishes.
