Ingredients used in Aloo Chat
• Medium sized potatoes (boiled ) - 8 number.
• Black salt - 1 tea spoon.
• Fresh mint leaves (chopped) - 1/4 cup.
• Fresh coriander leaves (chopped) - 1/4 cup.
• Green chilies (chopped) - 2 numbers.
• Garlic - 3-4 clove.
• Cumin powder (roasted ) - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons.
• Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Onion (finely chopped) - 1 numbers.
Method:
  • Peel and cut potatoes into an inch sized cubes.
  • Grind garlic, green chilies, coriander leaves and mint leaves together to make a fine paste.
  • Mix together potato cubes, earliergrindedgarlic and mint leaves paste, roasted cumin powder, black salt, salt, black pepper powder, lemon juice and chopped onion. Toss well and serve.

I also subscribe to the fact that allu chat is better without garlik paste and though fried aloo taste better but i will go with non fried for health rasons .I follow your site regulerly and have turned to cooking after retirement from my Nursing Hom

Hi Sanjay, My two cents take on this. I know you're addicted to garlic and onions ( I love all your veg videos anyway) and both these items can be left out in aloo chaat. Especially the garlic--the main taste of aloo chaat comes from a combination of
