Ingredients used in ORANGE CHICKEN
• Chicken(boneless medium size) - 1 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• White pepper powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Ginger(chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Orange juice - 1 cup.
• Orange zest - 1 tea spoon.
• Sugar - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Soya sauce - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Vinegar - 1 tea spoon.
• Corn flour - 1 tea spoon.
• Spring onions(chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
• Oil - 2 teaspoons.
• Red chili paste - 1/4 tea spoon.
Method:
In a bowl and add chicken, salt, white pepper powder and mix thoroughly then marinate it for 2 hours. Take a bowl and add orange juice, orange zest, sugar, a little salt, soya sauce, vinegar and mix well, check for seasoning. Heat oil in a pan and add chopped ginger saute it and add chicken, let cook it for 10 minutes. Add prepared orange slurry, red chilly paste and mix thoroughly. Add corn flour mixed in1/2 cup water cook it. At last add spring onions cook it for 5 minutes. Now the orange chicken is ready to serve with chinese fried rice.
