Recipe of Summer Salsa – Mango Dipping:
- Ripe Mangoes, cut into small cubes - 1 cup
- Cumin seeds, roasted - 1 tsp
- Red Onion, finely chopped - 2 tbsp
- Green chilies, finely chopped - 2 nos
- Salt - to taste
- Lemon juice - ½ tsp
- Coriander leaves, finely chopped - 1 bunch
- In a wide open bowl, add in the cumin seeds and crush them with a pestle.
- Add in onions, green chillies and gently crushed.
- Add the mangoes pieces and crush till it get slightly soft and saucy consistency.
- Add salt to taste, lemon juice, coriander leaves and mix well.
- Serve fresh with roasted papads, tortilla chips or any fried snack.
Tip: You could add a pinch of sugar which will enhance the taste and give a pleasant zing to the salsa. Do not use overripe mangoes to make this salsa, they should be firm and just ripe mango.
