Ingredients used in FRIED POTATO IN MAYO
• Corn starch - 2 tablespoons.
• All purpose flour - 1 tablespoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Baby potatoes(boiled) - 250 grams.
• Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons.
• Tomato ketchup - 1 tablespoon.
• Garlic - 1 tablespoon.
• Red chilli powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Lemon juice - 1 tea spoon.
• Onion - 1 number.
• Oil - as required.
Method:
  • Take corn starch, all purpose flour, pinch of salt and water to make a thick batter.
  • Take boiled small potatoes and press them with your hands and keep them in a plate.
  • Now pour this batter on top of them and deep fry them in hot oil then take them out once they become golden brown.
  • Take some mayonnaise in a bowl and add tomato ketchup, garlic, red chilli powder, lemon juice then mix it well and add onions.
  • Add these potatoes in the mayonnaise batter and mix it.

Serve them hot.

FRIED POTATO IN MAYO

 

 

Fried  potato  in  mayo  is an easy snack recipe with the combination of Mayonnaise, Tomato ketchup, Garlic which gives an additional flavor with Lemon juice. Fried potato in Mayo is an easy to prepare snack recipe made with battered fried baby potatoes dunked in a comforting amalgamation of Mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, garlic and lemon juice mixture. The garlicky flavor is an additional flavor that gives a pleasant zest on bite.

 

Boiled baby potatoes are coated with a nice batter made of cornstarch and all-purpose flour which is deep fried until golden in color and crisp and is later tossed in a delicious sauce made with mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, garlic and lemon juice all mixed together making this dish just awesome and super delicious. Mayonnaise is a creamy, rich and healthy sauce used for various purposes.

 

It is often used as the base for spreading over pizza, sandwich etc. Mayo is also used for dressing exotic salads, pasta. Mayo is a popular dip accompanied with variety of sea-foods and French fries. Mayonnaise is easy to prepare at home and freshly made mayo is always good for health. It actually has numerous health benefits, is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E.

 

Recipe:  Fried Potato in Mayo

  1. Baby potatoes, boiled       -       250 gms
  2. Corn starch                         -       2 tbsp
  3. All-purpose flour               -       1 tbsp
  4. Salt                                        -       to taste
  5. Mayonnaise                        -       2 tbsp
  6. Tomato ketchup                 -       1 tbsp
  7. Garlic                                    -       1 tbsp
  8. Red chilli powder              -       1 tsp
  9. Lemon juice                        -       1 tsp
  10. Onion                                   -       1 no
  11. Oil for deep frying             -       2 cups

 Directions:

  1. In a bowl, add corn starch, all-purpose flour, little water and a pinch of salt. Mix well to make a thick batter.
  2. Take boiled small potatoes and press with your hand and keep them in a plate.
  3. Now pour the batter over the potatoes.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and when it gets hot, deep fry the baby potatoes until they get golden brown.
  5. Take some mayonnaise in a bowl and add tomato ketchup, garlic, red chilli powder, lemon juice and mix well. Add onions and mix again.
  6. Add the fried potatoes in this mayonnaise mixture and mix well.
  7. Serve hot.

 

Potato is one of the most popular vegetable and a favourite dish to many, especially among kids. It has become an integral part in most of the world’s cuisine and is the world’s fourth largest food crop. There is no feast or festival without an aloo delicacy. This tuber is a versatile ingredient and can be made to a variety of snacks, appetizers, side dish or added in the main course.

 

Potato as such taste bland but amalgamates well with flavors absorbing into them giving explicit taste which makes our taste buds salivate and urge to eat more.
