Recipe of VAZHAKKAI THORAN

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Plantains 4 Numbers
Coconut Oil 4 Tablespoons
Green Chillies 3 Numbers
Turmer Powder 1/2 Teaspoons
Onions 3 Numbers
Garlic 2 Clove
Coconut,scraped 1/4 Numbers
A Few Curry Leaves To Taste
Salt To Taste

Directions

1. Peel and cut the plantains in to small cupes.
2.Grind together green chillies,turmeric, coconut, garlic and one chopped onion.
3.Cook the plantains with just sufficient water. Add salt.
4.Add the ground masala and cook.
5.Add curry leaves and remove from the fire.
6.Heat coconut oil and fry two sliced onions till golden brown. Add to the mixture .stir well and remove.

Very nice & simple recipe. I did not mash the cooked banana, but cut into tiny pieces.
