Ingredients used in Tomato Cut Salan
• Coriander leaves - 1 bunch.
• Coconut powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Red chilli powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Turmeric - pinch.
• Salt - to taste.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Onion (chopped) - 1 number.
• Cumin seeds - half tea spoon.
• Seasame seeds - 2 tablespoons.
• Peanuts - 2 tablespoons.
• Oil - 1 tablespoon.
• Whole garama masala - 2 number.
• Tamarind juice - 1 cup.
• Tomatos - 6 number.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Green chillis (chopped) - 2 number.
• Fenugrek seeds - 1 pinch.
• Murstard seeds - 1 pinch.
• Water - as required.
Method:
  • Take tomatos cut open the top and remove the seeds from inside and keep it a side.Take the seeds of tomatos and add 2 chillies make a paste.In a pan dry rost peanuts and seasme seeds and make a paste.
  • Take a pan add oil, whole garam masala, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, onion, curry leaves, ginger garlic paste, salt, turmeric, tomato and green chili paste , chilli powder ,coconut powder, coriander powder, sesame seeds and peanuts powder cook till oil oozes out.
  • Once masala cooked add tamarind juice and water as needed, let it boil till oil oozes out.Lastly add the cut open tomatoes and switch of the flame, pour the gravy on the tomatoes top it of with coriander leaves,close it with a lid for 5 minutes then serve.
