Ingredients used in THREE BEANS STEW
• Blackeyed pea - 1 cup.
• Kidney bean - 1 cup.
• Chick pea - 1 cup.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Cinnamon stick - 2 pieces.
• Cloves - 4 numbers.
• Garlic(chopped) - 4 numbers.
• Ginger(chopped) - 1 piece.
• Onions(chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Green chillies - 3 numbers.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Tomatoes(chopped) - 1 cup.
• Carrots(chopped) - 1 cup.
• Potato(chopped) - 1/2 number.
• Pepper powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Coconut milk - 1 cup.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan and add cinnamon stick, cloves, garlic, ginger, onions, a little salt, green chilies, curry leaves, tomatoes and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add black-eyed peas, kidney beans, chickpeas, carrots, potato, little water, pepper powder and mix thoroughly.
  • Check for seasoning and keep the lid and pressure cook for 4 - 5 whistles.
  • Now add coconut milk and mix thoroughly cook for 3 minutes on slow flame.

Serve it with appam or dosa.
