Shami Kabab Recipe, How To Make Shami Kabab Recipe

Traditionally shami kebabs are made using spices minced meat and chickpeas and are cooked in both India and Pakistan.Shammi kababs is a small pan fried patties that is made with minced meat, added to spices like cinnamon, cardamom and cloves, stuffed with onion and coriander, rolled into thickish patties, dipped in egg and fried in ghee (clarified butter) to create a meal that is exquisite.

Ingredients used in Shami Kabab
• Channa dal - 100 grams.
• Coriander leaves - 1/2 bunch.
• Egg - 1 numbers.
• Garam masala - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Green chillies(chopped) - 3 numbers.
• Lamb(boneless) - 500 grams.
• Mint leaves - 1/2 bunch.
• Oil - 1 tablespoon.
• Onions - 1 cup.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Black cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1 pinch.
• Butter - 2 teaspoons.
Method:
  • Take a pressure cooker add little oil, black cumin seeds, onion cook till golden brown colour, then add ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder, green chillies, mint, mix well then add mutton boneless.
  • Cook till mutton is tender.
  • Now take the cooked mutton in a pan add red chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander leaves, boiled channa dal mix well.
  • Now grind mutton and dal mixture.
  • Transfer from grinder to a plate and add salt, garam masala, coriander leaves mix well.
  • In another plate take boiled egg cut into small pieces,onions chopped, add pinch of red chilli powder salt mix well.
  • Now divide the mutton mixture into equal portions and egg mixture into equal portion.
  • Egg mixture can be used as stuffing.
  • shape into flat rounds and take a pan add butter then add kababa cook until both the sides are cooked.
  • Remove it into a serving plate.

Now the shami kabab is ready to serve.
