Ingredients used in STEAMED FISH
• Sugar - 1 pinch.
• Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon.
• Soya sauce - 1 tea spoon.
• Lemon juice - 1 tea spoon.
• Cucumber(juliennes) - 1/2 cup.
• Yellow zucchini (juliennes) - 1/2 cup.
• Carrot (juliennes) - 1/2 cup.
• Fish - 1 number.
• Salt - to taste.
• Spring onions (finely chopped) - 2 tablespoons.
• Lemon grass - 1 spring.
• Ginger (chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Raw mango (slices) - 5-6 numbers.
Method:
  • Take your choice of fish and give gashes on both sides.
  • Then stuff lemongrass, ginger pieces in the middle of fish, raw mango pieces put in the gashes. Steam the fish for 4 to 5 minutes.

Make a sauce :

  • In a bowl, add lemon juice, sugar, soya sauce, fish sauce, and chopped spring onion.
  • After steaming fish, add Julliene of yellow zucchini, cucumber, carrot, cover and cook it further till done after 10-12 minutes, take the fish and put it on a plate.
  • Take the juices of steamed fish, pour it on the sauce, mix it and pour the sauce on the top of the fish.

Steamed fish is ready to serve with some blanched green leafy vegetables.
