Ingredients used in Achaari paneer
• Paneer - 300 grams.
• Onion - 3 numbers.
• Green chili - 3 numbers.
• Curd - half cup.
• Ginger - 1 number.
• Garlic - 6 cloves.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Onion seeds - half tea spoon.
• Fenugreek seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Sauf - 2 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Amchur powder - 1.5 teaspoons.
• Oil - 4 tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
  • Cut paneer into rectangular pieces. Collect all seeds-saunf[aniseeds], mustard seeds, feugreek seeds, kalonji[onion seeds] and cumin seeds together.
  • Crush garlic and ginger roughly and keep aside.
  • Heat oil. Add the collected seeds together to the hot oil. Let them crackle for 1 minute.
  • Add onions and chopped green chillies. Cook till onions turn golden brown.
  • Then add turmeric powderand crushed garlic-ginger paste. Cook for 1/2 minute.
  • Beat curd with a spoon till smooth. Add gradually and keep stirring.
  • Add amchoor[dried mango pd.] and salt. Cook till the curd dries up a little.

Serve hot.

Well, I fail to understand when to add the paneer? Whether it is necessary to fry paneer before adding? And what about the consistency of the gravy!!!!
