Recipe of potato puttu

First boil the potato in cooker for 3 whistles and keep it aside. After that pour some oil in a pan, after that add mustard seeds, after it cracks add urad dhal, after urad dhal comes slight brown colour add finely chopped garlic and green chillies, after garlic comes brown colour, add onion, let it fry for 20-25 minutes until it comes brownish colour. Then you smash the potato slightly (dont fully smash the potato) and put in the onion. After add turmeric powder according to ur taste. mix it well. wait until the potato gets slight golden colour, afterwards put curry and coriander leaves for flavour. Your potato puttu is ready. Its is a good side dish for chappathi, sambar rice, puri etc....
