Ingredients used in PALAK PARATA - LACHA PARATHA
• Spinach - 2 bunch.
• Wheat flour - 1 cup.
• Oil - as required.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Ajwain - 2 teaspoons.
• Chilli powder - 1/2 tablespoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Grated cheese - 1/2 cup.
• Butter - 2 tablespoons.
• Green chillies - 2 numbers.
Method:
  • For green dough in a pan heat water, add spinach and blanch it for 2-3 minutes and make it into a paste by adding salt and green chilies to it.
  • In a bowl add wheat flour, spinach paste, oil and by adding water make it like a soft dough and rest it for 5-10 minutes.
  • For yellow dough in a bowl add wheat flour, turmeric powder, ajwain, chili powder, salt. And by adding water make it like a soft dough and rest it for 5 minutes.
  • Now roll both the green and yellow doughs like chapatis, on top of yellow color chapati put some grated cheese, ajwain and cover it with green chapati.
  • Now put some more cheese and ajwain roll it and cut into small pieces and roll again like small chapatis and roast them on a heat tava by adding butter on both the sides and serve hot.
