Recipe of Methi Rice

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Water 3 Cup
Basmati Rice 2 Cup
Oil 4 Tablespoons
Salt 1 To Taste
Whole Garam Masala 1 Teaspoons
Green Chillies 7 Numbers
Garam Masala Powder 1 Tablespoons
Grated Coconut 2 Tablespoons
Ground Nuts 30 Numbers
Onions (Finely Sliced) 1 Big
Methi 1 Bunch
Haldi 1 Pinch
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 Tablespoons
Cashew Nuts 15 Numbers

Directions

Clean methi leaves. Add oil to a pressure cooker. Add whole garam masala, ground nuts, cashew nuts, green chilles, onions and ginger garlic paste. Fry well. Add garam masala and grated coconut. Add some salt. Fry again. Now add methi leaves and fry well else the rice will taste bitter. Now add rice and fry for 2 mins. Add water and salt to taste. Give 3 whistles.

Recipe Tips

1. Fry methi well...else the recipe will be bitter. 2. Don't add too much of ground nuts and grated coconut.
