Inghi Mathi is a simple and traditional kerala fish dish prepared with Mathi fish, It is well known as the ‘poor man’s fish.

Recipe of Inghi Mathi

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Mathi  1000 Grams
Ginger  200 Grams
Tamarind juice thick  1 Cup
Red chili powder  3 Teaspoons
Turmeric powder  1 Teaspoons
Curry leaves A few   To Taste
Salt   To Taste
Oil  10 ml
Coconut grated  3/4 Numbers

Directions
Put the ingredients 2 to 7 in mud pot and cook till the ginger get cooked well and water got reduced 1/4th cup. Now add the mathi and cook in slow fire when the mathi is half cooked add the gated coconut. See the coconut is well mixed with gravy, do it with out smashing mathi. Cook till all the water is completely absorbed. Put of the fire pour the oil on top.
