gothambu (haleem wheat) payasam
Author : Vahchef
Main Ingredient : Wheat
Servings : 4 persons
Published date : November 21, 2016

Ingredients used in gothambu (haleem wheat) payasam
• Cardamom powder - 1 teaspoons.
• Sugar/jaggery - 1 1/2 cup.
• Coconut milk - 1 can.
• Milk - 6 cup.
• Haleem wheat - 1 cup.
• Cloves - 4 numbers.
Method:
  • Pressure cook the wheat with about enough milk to cover and the cloves. One whistle should be enough.
  • Add rest of the milk, jaggery or sugar and continue cooking until the milk comes to a rolling boil.
  • Now add the coconut milk and the cardamom powder and simmer for a few minutes.
  • If needed more milk or sugar can be added. This actually tastes better the next day chilled.
