Recipe of Fried Bananas

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Shredded Coconut 1/2 Cup
Salt 1 Teaspoons
Sugar 2 Tablespoons
Baking Soda 1/2 Teaspoons
Tapioca Flour 1/4 Cup
Rice Flour 3/4 Cup
Bananas 6-8 Small
Water 1 Cup
Oil For Deep Frying 4 Cup


Peel and slice each banana lengthwise into four slices. In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, tapioca flour, sugar, salt, coconut and baking soda, then add water a little at a time. Mix well to form a thick batter.

Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees F. Dip each piece of banana into the batter to completely coat, and deep fry until golden brown. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve as a snack.

Hello, tapioca flour is not similar to 'maida' it's derived from cassava root which is starchy and slightly sweet, white in color.

Hello Sanjay, I must thank you for the wonderful work that you are doing and making others do in the kitchen :) . The fried bananas that you are talking about is called Pisang Goreng ( in malaysia and indonesia) and is served with some honey drizzled on top of it and it tastes yummy with that or maple syrup.
And one question, is tapioca flour the same as maida, if it is not, could you pls let me know if maida can be used instead. Thanks again for all the recipes and the passion with which you share them. Keep Inspiring :)
