Recipe of Falafel

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Soaked Chickpeas 1 Cup
Baking Soda 1/2 Teaspoons
Salt 1 Teaspoons
Minced Onions 1/2 Cup
Minced Parsley Or Coriander Leaves 2 Tablespoons
Chillies To Taste
Cumin Powder 1 Teaspoons
Coriander 1 Teaspoons
Minced Garlic 2 Clove
Lemon Juice 1 Tablespoons
Blackpepper Powder 1 Teaspoons
Maida/All Purpose Flour 3 Tablespoons


  1. Grind all the ingredients to a coarse form without water.

  2. Heat oil in a Kadai for frying. Once the oil gets heated enough for frying, make patties out of the coarse mixture & fry them just like Vadas.

  3. Serve Falafel as an appetizer or as a evening snack.
