this is a recipe of orissa,

Recipe of dahi vendi(okras in curd)

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
roasted cumin & red chilli powder   To Taste
salt to taste  
haldi  1/2 Teaspoons
garlic (crushed)  3
curry leaves  1 Springs
oil (for fry)  2 Tablespoons
mustard  1/2 Teaspoons
curd  1 Cup
bhindi/bhendi/okra  15 Bag
black salt   To Taste
a pinch of sugar  
red chilli powder(opt)   To Taste

wash the pkra, cut the edges of okra, slit half from middle.then add salt amp; tumeric,then in a hot pan add some oil ..fry the bhindi till soften.then in a bowl add curd,mix ba=lack salt,sugar,salt,roasted cuminamp; red chilli powder.mix well add little bit of water amp; mix again.then add the fried bhindi.then in same pan add oil,add mustard,curry leaves,crushed garlic...fry till garlics r brown..then add this chhaunk to dahi bhindi..
