Ingredients used in Chhena Poda
• Milk - 2 litres.
• Lemon juice - 2 teaspoons.
• Semolina - 3 tablespoons.
• Sugar - 1 cup.
• Baking powder - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Ghee - 1 tablespoons.
• Cardamom powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Raisins - 10 grams.
• Pistacho - 10 grams.
• Cashew nuts - 10 grams.
Method:
  • Boil the milk in a heavy bottom pan on a medium heat, stir in between, as the milk boils, gradually add the lime juice and stir slowly.
  • You will notice that the milk gets curdled, turn off the heat.
  • Now strain the curdled milk through a muslin cloth.
  • Press the chhena to take out the water and transfer into a bowl.
  • Add semolina, sugar and some Chana water to it, mix it well.
  • Then add baking powder, ghee, cardamom powder, raisins, Pistachio, cashew nuts, mix it again.
  • Take baking tray grease it with ghee and pour the mixture into the mold, put it into the oven at 165 degree centigrade for 1 hour.
  • Let it cool down, take it out on a plate, cut into slices and serve.
