Recipe of Butter milk

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Youghurt- 1 Cup
Curry Leaves 1 Springs
Salt 1-2 Teaspoons
Green Chilly 1-2 Numbers
Cumin Seeds Powder as needed
Coriander Leaves 1 Springs


Take green chillies chopp finely or crush,ginger chopp,curry leaves,coriander leaves chopped.

Dry tost cumin seeds and with roallingpin make powder.

In blender add curd water blend pour in a bowl add salt as per taste mix well then add green chillies,ginger,curry,coriander leaves chopped mix well. this is south indian butter milk.

North indian butter milk,take a glass add cumin powder,chat masala,add butter milk mix well then top it of with some more cumin powder.

I used to enjoy buttermilk at a karnataka restaurant, but when i tried your recipe, it was close to the butter milk in restuarant, you saved me 2 dollars :-)

could you post the measurement for curd and water for making buttermilk at home for making kadhi and other recipes requiring buttermilk. In one of ur recipe u mentioned 1 cup curd to 3 tsp of water, and it doesnt sound right
