BROWN RICE WITH GREENS

Ingredients used in BROWN RICE WITH GREENS
• Olive oil - 1 tablespoon.
• Garlic(chopped) - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Lemon rind - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Spinach (chopped) - 1 cup.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 cup.
• Dry basil - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Lime juice - 1 number.
• Brown rice - 1 cup.
• Water - 2-1/2 cups.
• Green peas - 1/2 cup.
Method:
  • Heat olive oil in a pan, add garlic, lemon rind, chopped spinach, chopped coriander leaves, dry basil, salt and saute it.
  • Now, add lime juice to the above pan and mix nicely.
  • Then add brown rice along with water and cook it with closed lid on high flame then when it comes to boil point decrease the flame to low and cook for about 20-30 minutes.
  • Once rice is cooked, add green peas and mix nicely.

Now Brown rice with greens is ready to serve.

Just made it . I'm sure it wasn't as good as tour's but I used call Kale. I topped it off with avocado , tomato and onions. Use everything but forgot Basil.?

Better cook the rice separatly before and add than to the sauteed vegetables.So it will be really ''green'' .?
