Description: A bread roll is a small, often round loaf of bread for one person. Bread rolls are commonly served as a meal accompaniment (eaten plain or with butter)usually served with hot soups, or else – cut transversely and with a filling placed between the two halves – used to make sandwiches similar to those produced using slices of bread.

Recipe of Bread Rolls

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Butter Unsalted 4 Tablespoons
Sugar 2 Tablespoons
Milk 1 Cup
Yeast Dry 2 Teaspoons
Eggs 2 Numbers
All Purpose Flour - Maida 4 Cup
Salt 2 Teaspoons

Directions

  1. Take a bowl add dry yeast to warm milk,sugar, mix well and leave it for 10 min to dissolve the yeast.In another bowl add eggs beat them then add to yeast mixtur,butter mix well. 
  2. Take a big bowl add maida, salt, mixture of beatten egg and yeast add slowly and keep mixing to form a soft, sticky dough.Knead the dough add 1tps of oil, until smooth and cover with a kitchen towel, let it rise for 1- 1 1/2 hour untill double in size.After 1 hr turn the dough out onto a floured work surface, knead untill smoothe,shiny and elastic and rest it for another 10min.Take a bowl add one egg mix well for eggwash if required can add water to it and mix it again. 
  3. Now Divide the dough into small rounds or shapes as required place the rolls on a buttered baking tray or dish. cover it with a towel for 5 min then brush eggwash the roll.
  4. Preheat the oven for 425F/220C bake for 15-20 till golden brown colour.once it is done then apply butter on top of it.

Hey chef, u r great boss. The first time I saw u on YouTube to learn rawa dosa. Thanks to my hubby for that. Baking bread rolls was always a dream but never imagined it is possible for a common man. U made it possible. Salutes to u.

Hi Sanjay,

Thanks for making things simple. We tried making Bread rolls following your instructions. The end result is nearly good. However, we would like to confirm what do you mean by '1 coup' of flour? Could you be more specific?
