Ingredients used in bagara bath bagarannam
• Cardamom medium size - 1 numbers.
• Cloves - 3 numbers.
• Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Coriander leaves - 1/4 bunch.
• Mint leaves - 1/4 bunch.
• Cinnamon - 2 numbers.
• Bay leaves - 4 numbers.
• Green chillies slit in between - 3 numbers.
• Shah jeera - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoons.
• Chopped onions - 1 small.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Ghee - 1 tablespoons.
• Vanaspathi - 1 tablespoons.
• Rice - 4 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Peas - 1/4 cup.
Method:
*soak the rice for 1/2 an hour *heat a pot n add oil, vanaspathiand ghee n allow to melt . combination of these three gives it a nice flavour n taste. *when the oil is heated add shahjeera, when it starts cracking add chopped onions n saute till slight golden colour. Add bay leaves ,cinnamon n green chillies. *then add ginger garlic paste n cook till it looses raw flavour. add the green peas n fry for some time *then add mint n coriander leaves n fry for a min *add water sufficient enough for cooking the rice n add coriander powder , cardamon n clove powder n salt and mix *cover till the water starts to boiling *then add rice n cook till done stirring occasionally
