Ingredients used in Ghati Mutton
• Onions - 8 numbers.
• Dry grated cocunut - 1/2 cup.
• Dried red chillies - 12 numbers.
• Black peppercorn - 10 numbers.
• Nagkeshar - 12 numbers.
• Ginger - 2 small.
• Salt - to taste.
• Potatoes - 4 small.
• Kamal badiyan - 2 numbers.
• Shahjeera - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Corainder seeds - 2 teaspoons.
• Mutton - 2 lbs.
• Garlic - 1 1/2 cloves.
• Oil - as required.
• Water - as required.
Method:
  • Wash Mutton and apply the paste of ginger and garlic and salt.
  • Fry the above given masala in a little oil.
  • Cut 4 onions and fry them in oil.
  • When onions are golden, add grated coconut. fry/roast it ans then grind it fine in the mixer.
  • Grind the fried masala fine from step 2 as well.
  • Heat oil in a vessel and add the remaining onions and fry it till golden brown.
  • Add mutton to it and the grinded masala and the grinded onion/coconut mixture.
  • Add water to desired consistency and cook mutton on small/medium flame with lid on.
